The evolution of Act! continues in v25.2 which builds out its small business CRM tool set with dynamic pipeline management, powerful new marketing automation capabilities and many subscriber-exclusive enhancements. All these capabilities allow your organization to take its sales and marketing to new heights.

Act! Premium for Desktop

Building upon the foundation set with Act! Premium Desktop v25 previous releases, Act! Premium v25.2 introduces two new enhancements to improve efficiency and the user experience. Act! Premium Desktop and Act! Premium for Web (APfW) users can now experience effortless productivity and streamlined workflows with Act! for Outlook, a new integration option for Outlook. Featuring a modern interface that seamlessly integrates with Act!, Act! for Outlook automatically records email exchanges to history, allows you to add & update contact information, review detailed history records, and schedule activities with one or more attendees, directly from Outlook.

Act! Premium for Web users will also benefit from streamlined workflows thanks to the replacement of popup windows for modals when adding/removing contacts from opportunities, adding opportunities to groups or companies, and adding/removing groups or companies.  What’s a modal?  Modals are when the background of the page fades and a new window is displayed in front of the other web page elements.  These are replacements for the traditional popups that would lead to new application windows.  

Act! for Outlook

Experience effortless productivity with Act! for Outlook. Featuring a modern interface that seamlessly integrates with Act!, users can automatically record email exchanges to history, add & update contact information, review detailed history records, and schedule meetings, directly from Outlook. 

  • Auto Attach & Quick Attach – Automatically attach outbound emails, inbound emails, and accepted meetings to Act! History records. If Auto Attach is not preferred, the Quick Attach option can be used to manually attach email exchanges to Act! History records.
  • Create or Edit Contacts – Add new contacts to Act! By selecting either the Create Contact option within the embedded Act! Menu or the add now button in the Act! For Outlook sidebar. Email address and name are populated automatically. Creating new contacts and editing existing contacts via the sidebar work largely the same. Simply update the information and save changes.
  • Review History Records – With Act! for Outlook you can review detailed history for the five most recent history records. Get information such the type of activity, result, date, and details/notes.
  • Add/Schedule and Activity – With Act! for Outlook you can schedule any type of activity, with more than one contact or attendees, and create a meeting invite.
  • System Requirements & Setup Notes:
    • This integration uses the Act! API so an active subscription is required.
    • Included in v25.2 install package or Act! Premium Cloud (APC).
    • Requires Act! Premium Desktop v25.2 or later.
    • Users will set up Act! for Outlook via the in-app tools dropdown menu.
    • Works with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook.com, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), IMAP and POP servers.
    • Does not work with Outlook On The Web (formerly Outlook Web Access (OWA)). For use with Outlook On The Web download Act! Premium Contact Link.

Act! Premium for Web Enhancements

Act! continues to improve the Act! Premium for Windows (APfW) user experience.

Improved popup window behavior has been implemented for:

  • Adding or removing contacts to or from opportunities
  • Adding or removing a group or company
  • Adding an opportunity to a group
  • Adding an opportunity to a company
  • Choosing a custom date range within a history record or the task list

Act! Premium Desktop Fixes

As with every release, Act! fixes various bugs or user improvements. This section in specific is for those using the installed local version of Act!.

  • Fixed bug when exporting Activities from the Task List
  • Act! Custom Table performance improvements
  • Some region-specific language translation edits

Act! Premium for Web (APfW) Fixes

As with every release, Act! fixes various bugs or user improvements. This section in specific is for those using Act! via a web browser.

  • Clarified instruction verbiage in various areas
  • Fixed a bug not allowing email history recording amongst Act! users
  • Web layout editor allows more options for changing colors
  • Fixed a bug requiring a manual webpage refresh when changing an Opportunity process or stage
